Masters of Max: The Air Max Icons – Air Max 2015

AIR MAX 2015

The Air Max 2015 is as much about reinvention as it is about revolution. The performance running shoe features an upper that matches the dynamic motion of the flexible, ultra-comfortable Max Air cushioning that debuted in 2013. The first Air Max with a breathable, lightweight, fully engineered and almost seamless mesh upper works in tandem with Nike Flywire technology to wrap the foot. The shoe offers a plush, bouncy ride that uses tubular construction and flex grooves for the latest standard of maximum. Even the reverse Swoosh subverts familiarity and signs off on a new generation of expression.

Taking a path less traveled, the Air Max 2003 traded the bold colour of past Nike Air Max models for a tonal option that gave the shoe a new aesthetic for the naughts.

Masters of Max: The Air Max Icons – Air Max 97

The Air Max 97 gave us full length max air! This is one of our favourite Max units of all time to this day and the 97 was the first to sport the game changing air unit. Who can forget the Silver and Gold colourways this shoe debuted with, it was big, it was bold and it was unforgettable.

Masters of Max: The Air Max Icons – Air Max 95

The Air Max 95 is Sundays Master of Max. Once again Nike pushed the boundaries of conventional design and aesthetics with the 95, the gradient grey and volt “pop” creating “Neon” colourway that is today, every bit as recognisable as the infrared. Once again this famous colourway has been applied and adapted to many other models perfectly. And that pop colour “Volt” now every bit an icon as the shoe itself.
