February 2006 was a good month of sneaker releases for Nike SB fans. Not only did the Dunk Low “Hawaii” release but the “Send Help” Dunk High was on sale as well. Although initially the Hawaii’s were the most sought after release, with is vibrant colors and clear outsole, these High’s quickly gained momentum with its easy build and classic look. Throughout Nike SB’s history the most popular builds range from the extraordinary crazy (What the Dunks) to the very simple. The Dunk High Pro “T-19” falls into the latter category. The design for this particular Dunk comes from, not surprisingly, one of their team riders. Japanese skateboarding pro Iwasaki Shingo was certainly feeling the color blue when he was told to create his own version of the Dunk. Rather then promoting himself on the sneaker Shingo decided to focus on the skate team that he helped to found, the T-19’s. Continue reading

More so than any other brand, with Nike SB a large number of their builds come from inspirations from things in their lives, ranging from musical groups, to beverages or even their favorite television series. Paul Urich x Nike SB Dunk High Pro

Professional skateboarder Paul Urich is one of the lucky individuals who have had a chance to design their own Dunk High Pro with Nike SB. Today in most circles his wife, Mybuster Kari Byron, may be more popular then Urich himself but his list of accolades includes being a pro skateboarder since to early 90’s to transitioning to become a well known as an artist in the present day. This artist side came out in his rendition of the classic skate model.
