Like many around the world we have Air Max on our minds thanks to Nike’s Air Max Day. For today we wanted to put the spotlight on an Air Max that’s an oldie but goodie, the size? x Nike Air Max 90 “Clerks.” Part of the special Nike conceived “Cerks” pack from the mid-2000’s, it was one of three sneakers created to represent the city of London. Unlike Los Angeles and San Francisco where various shops created sneakers, retailer size? had the challenge of designing three separate models themselves. As usual they were more then up to the challenge.

The pack consisted of an Air Stab, Air Classic BW and the Air Max 90 seen here. Air cushioning the common theme between the three, the AM90 was by far the most popular version. Although made up of various locations now, size? focused the runner on their Brighton store and area. The colorful adaptation of the scenic colors of Brighton Beach and areas around the shop were transferred onto the sneaker. The result is a mixture of colors and materials different from the norm but somehow works. Some key features that stand out include the Baroque Brown crocodile mudguard, blue two-toned midsoles and pink highlights. Premium leathers and nubuck on the upper’s along with contrast stitching are not on your typical Air Max 90 but work right here. Where do these “Clerk” Air Max 90’s rank amongst your favorite Air Maxes?
