St. Patrick’s Day may have come and gone, but plenty of people are still feeling the after effects of celebrating the day, Irish or not. Nike SB knows a thing or two about the day as they have created kicks that work well during that day in March. That includes the “Wallenbergs” which all-green look isn’t even inspired by the day. But as we reflect back we are reminded of the original “St. Patricks’ Day” Dunk Low from Nike SB released in ’05.
Released during the famed “pink box” era of Nike SB, the shoes released to little fanfare. Simple with only two colors (White/Classic Green), the sneaker mostly sat on the shelves and hit many sales racks. Soon after the clean leather canvas was used for beating around and customs. Nowadays you’d have to look hard to find a clean pair running about. A simple look, but the Dunk is one that has always worked well in minimal colors as the Be True to Your School pack showed.
A solid pair, if you have them be sure to enjoy. And make sure you don’t get pinched next St. Patrick’s Day and rock a pair of these Dunk Low Pro’s. You might get love from a fellow sneakerholic.
