Nike WMNS Air Max 95 “Valentine’s Day” by UGLY MELY
Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day has produced some great sneakers over the years. Not that we need a specific day to wear red sneakers and right now the popularity of all-red sneakers currently is at an all-time high. But brand’s have taken that extra step to create special kicks for February 14th. This was even more true way back in 2000 when Nike released these Air Max 95’s. The build, colors and small details made it a hit, especially to wear on Valentine’s Days.

Technically part of a special pack of two Air Max 95’s, this version proved to be the most popular version. Even guys were looking for big sizes so that they could rock these themselves. The formula was a simple one. Samba Red is used for most of the runner, in both suede and mesh. White midsole, laces and upper tongue were added to complete most of the coloring. But the details is where the sneaker shines.
Silver 3m hits on the eyelets, Nike branding and outsole added addition contrast. But the modified heart “Air Max” tongue logo is what stands out the most on the Valentine’s Day sneaker. All those elements and the larger air units of the time period make this a gem. Now if only we could get Nike to retro these now….
