The Blazer has been a staple part of the Nike SB family for quite some time. The once basketball model turned skate model’s formula has been pretty close to the original. Usually seen in either high or lowcut form the Blazer is a familiar sight on the streets or skateboard. A few years back Nike SB decided to tweak the model a bit giving us a chopped version of the mid named the Blazer CS.

The CS addition originally came as part of Nike SB’s custom series. The Blazer was modified for the skater by skaters. For those that felt the regular Blazer was too high the silhouette has been tweaked to suit skaters needs by losing some height around the ankle area. But maybe the biggest addition was the usage over a cup sole over the regular vulcanized sole for longevity and cushioning. The first colorways were modified and done up by SB pro’s Brian Anderson and Lance Mountain. With their stamp of approval more gr versions of the model released including the ones seen here. Arguably the most popular of the Blazer CS releases, the solid suede uppers were covered in the vibrant shade of Sapphire, with a Dark Khaki leather Swoosh adding contrast. The same color leather is featured on the chopped heel tag as well along with matching tongue tag.
Released a few years back the model has seen more popular days. With additions like Lunarlon it looks like the CS might be put into the Nike SB catalog for a while. But this particular colorway has been spotted on sneakerholics in our Showcase recently and have proven to stand the test of time.
