If there is anything we know about Nike SB it’s that they love to pull inspiration from things they love especially music. From bands, songs and instruments the brand enjoys transforming their favorite musical subject into a hot sneaker. Following up with theme of instruments, like the “Gibson” Dunk Low released a year previously, these Dunk High’s were inspired by the Marshall Amps.

Often times mistaken for the MF Dooms, another musically inspired Dunk, the Mashall Amp’s feature many of the same colors and details which happen to be what the amplifiers are known for. A popular and essential piece of equipment for guitarists, the Marshall Amp paired up with a Gibson Les Paul or a Fender Stratocaster is a proven and timeless combination.
These premium edition Dunk High’s try to match the craftmanship and details put into the amps. The upper is made up of premium dark tumbled leather with black mesh toe box, quarter panels and black patent leather heel. The black continues down to the midsole which is finished with a white outsole. Gold accents are seen in the form of a metallic Swoosh and contrast stitching. Along with the outsole white trim is seen around some of the upper’s panels highlighting the lines. Finishing off the look was a red liner that matched the factory laces put in by Nike SB. Are these your cup or tea or would you rather rock out in a pair of MF Dooms?
