After a short hiatus, the iconic adidas Stan Smith model is returning to its former glory in 2014. The original white/green colorway is being re-released along with some other classy and simple builds. But back when premier Japanese boutique atmos had a chance to make their own Stan Smith they went deeper into the color spectrum as well as changing up the materials on the model.
One thing is for certain that whenever atmos gets their hands on a sneaker it will be memorable and a standout from the normal GR colorways. Two versions of the Stan Smith were created, both made up in similar ways but changing the color gradient on them. You were given the choice of either purple to blue or black to red (still missing from the wiki) gradient models. The upper’s of the two sneaker’s were made up primarily patent leather stretching from toe to heel and even on the tongue with the familiar Stan Smith logo. Embossed suede on the heels and normal leather used on the inner liner. The two models both sat on the classic white sole.
The Stan Smith’s basic shape and outline was the perfect canvas for atmos to do this on. This bold interpretation of the adidas classic was sold exclusively through atmos shops, so if you see a pair be sure to enjoy the sight of them.
