Wheat Timberland’s are a familiar sight to see during the Fall and Winter months of the year, but Nike SB wanted to give you another more comfortable and skateable option in back in December of ’06. The least featured middle-child of the Dunk family, the mid-cut model got all the shine during that month thanks to this “wheat” build.
The “wheat” concept is nothing new to sneakers but this version may be one of the best executed version. The strapped dunk keeps its truly wheat with a nubuck body in the shade. Offsetting with the body is brown suede toecap and the unique addition of dark grey ostrich on the heel. Blending into the body but still standing out is a bronze leather Swoosh. The color also appears on the strap and parts of the tongue. Finishing off the “wheat” design is a matching midsole/outsole combination and round dotted boot laces. How did you like the execution of this “wheat” Dunk Mid?
