As Nike was dominating the skating world with its ever popular silhouette, #sneakerholics were craving the wild and loud as new colorways began to surface. Though Dunk Lows seemed to be the more popular release, the Nike SB line gave a little love for the high tops with the Dunk High “Sea Crystal”. Being only a part of a handful of Dunk High SBs at the time, the “Sea Crystals” stood out by not only being loud and vibrant, but kept a form of simplicity with great materials. The “Sea Crystals” released in the middle of 2004, pushing forward the SB line that saw a new direction with the brand. Going over the top with new colorways that saw brighter and more vibrant materials, the SB line was definitely in its prime. Though the Lows had gained much traction in popularity, the Highs were slow to catch up. The “Sea Crystals” hoped to change the perspective on that. Continue reading

Mr. Cartoon x Nike Air Force 1 2005 Collection

Mister Cartoon is a Los Angeles based tattoo artist that has inked a lot of very well-known celebrities and athletes all over the world. His work has also been seen in the sneaker culture as well. Nike partnered up the artist in early 2005 to release a series of Air Force 1’s that were done up in his signature tattoo style. 2005 cranked out technically 4 different pairs which many #sneakerholics have been salivating for years to obtain. A little while a go you might have seen us in attendance at the London Nike Air Max “Air We Breathe” celebration party. While we were there, we were kindly invited by Nike to create another iD and naturally jumped at the chance – we are always grateful when presented with the opportunity to come up with our own design .

In 2012, the world was introduced to the Nike Lunar Hyperdunk 2012 with the new Nike+ integration. It was a revolutionary step in the world of performance basketball footwear and a bit of a throw back to the 2008 Nike Hyperdunk, but some immediately missed the feel of the Zoom in the Nike Hyperdunk 2010.
