Sneaker Showcase: Supreme x Nike SB Zoom Bruin

Supreme x Nike SB Zoom Bruin

Officially dubbed the Nike Zoom Bruin SB Supreme’s, the collection may be quite a mouthful, but it also was a part of another timeless release in a collaboration with Nike SB and Supreme. No strangers when it comes to classic releases that instantly sell out, and the Zoom Bruin SB added to their deep catalog of revitalizing old-school silhouettes and bringing them back to life. Released in four simple colorways in April, 2009; these sneakers represent a simple motif that rings true to what Supreme represents: class, style, and notoriety. These are very key words when describing what Supreme means, and their stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Japan bring about the passion they have to this culture of sneakers worldwide.

Released in four very simple colorways, the material placements and accessories were all the same throughout. Each pair features a metallic swoosh, leather heels, with suede as a base material covering the low tops. Each pair featured a left insole inscribed with “Sup” while the right saying “reme”. No surprise that these pairs all had the famous brand name located all throughout, with a similar left-right theme on the heel. The familiar box logo is also seen on the outter midsole of the sneakers as well. For the Bruins the left heel said “World” while the right “Famous”, the Supreme brand has always been known as the show stoppers of sneaker culture. Each pair also comes with a “World Famous” hang tag, completing the set. The four colorways were: black/silver, red/gold, white/red, and green/silver which is the only colorway currently missing from the wiki.  If you have any great stories about this release, be sure to leave a comment below or on the wikipedia.
