Jackie Robinson became the first African American to play major league baseball, becoming one of the most important people in ending racial segregation in baseball. Robinson was also one of the best players to play the game, playing in 6 World Series during his 10 years in the league. He won a Rookie of the Year Award, as well as an MVP award, and won a World Series with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955.
