Sneaker Spotlight: HUF x Nike Air Max 1 “Hufquake”

HUF x Nike Air Max 1 "Hufquake"

The “Hufquake” print was created by the team at HUF to mark the 100th anniversary of the earthquake that devastated their hometown of San Francisco in 1906. Initially featured on a pair of Air Force 1’s Keith Hufnagel followed up the initial pack with some runners featuring the unique print including this Air Max 1.

The dark approach was taken to the premium runner with black nubuck used on a majority of the upper as well as the midsole. The HUF designed print was added to the mudguard and overlay while the rest of the panels featured perforated leather including the liner. A gum outsole and the shade of green that the brand/shop was known for was added to the patent leather Swoosh, upper eyelets, along with the tongue and heel logos. One of the more simple HUF designs we have seen over the years, what did you think about this 2007 release?

  1. I’m still sick I couldn’t get a pair.

  2. One of the most under rated Air Max 1s
