Another year of great sneaker releases has passed us by. The last Twitter Sneaker Showcase of 2012 shows off of some of the releases of the year. Kicking off this Showcase are #sneakerholics @nedsrock and @takaharaboy rocking some Air Force 1’s, which celebrated it’s 30th anniversary. The largest Showcase ever is made up of pictures from enthusiasts from all around the globe rocking kicks in all types of weather conditions.

The expectations for LeBron James have been astronomical since he was just a teenager but last season, King James finally landed the coveted NBA Championship Ring he’d been chasing his entire career. Today, King James celebrates his 28th birthday, so we decided to take a look back at some of LeBron’s best sneakers from the wiki as he has become one of the most important people amongst sneaker enthusiasts. The Nike LeBron signature sneaker line is now in its 10th year and also includes a number of secondary sneakers, like the Zoom Soldier line and countless special makeups that honor LeBron James.

If you are a fan of Nike SB then you probably know the name Todd Bratrud. The Minnesota artist has teamed up with brand plenty of times over the years creating easily recognizable and classic builds. The “Send Help” and “Skunk” Dunk Highs are just a couple of the feathers in his cap. So popular, in fact, that two brands worked together on one edition of the sneaker. Famous Parisian boutique, colette, and creative firm La MJC put their collective minds together for their special model dubbed “Vivre Sans Temps Mort,” meaning Life Without Dead Time in French, made famous by protesters during the May 1968 France protests. Christmas trees, eggnog and getting together with friends and family may be tradition for much of the world but sneaker enthusiasts have found new holiday inspired sneakers to become a trend over the last few years. Nike Basketball and Jordan Brand have created special makeups for their star players in the NBA. From LeBron to Kobe, KD to Melo, and everyone in between, holiday colors and themes have become one of the new traditions we look forward to around this time of year.
