About this time of year in 2006, New York City’s Alife boutique began one of the most impressive collaboration series we’ve seen. Teaming up with Reebok, Alife decided to take things to a new level with a wild tennis-inspired design and limited numbers that left everyone wanting more.
Alife x Reebok Court Victory Pump “Ball Out” uploaded by Truffa
Alife opted on the classic Reebok Court Victory Pump, worn by Michael Chang back in the day, but Alife had a new plan for this tennis shoe. In fact, they used the same fuzzy material used on tennis balls throughout the entire upper. The initial neon yellow colorway was limited to just 48 pairs and is still one of the most sought after sneakers around. In fact, it’s so elusive, we don’t even have a pair on the wiki but we’re hoping someone can help us out with that. Also released at the same time in 2006, was a white pair, still missing from the wiki. Thanks to #sneakerholic Truffa we at least have the orange pair uploaded.
The Alife x Reebok Court Victory Pump series was in fact, so popular, that in 2007, Alife and Reebok revisited the project and created new colorways, including the black Alife Court Victory Pump and a pink pair that we’re looking to have added to the wiki. If you can help us out with an upload of any of the Alife x Reebok Court Victory Pump tennis ball colorway, let us know on Twitter.
