Grant Hill is one of those players that seems to never age. Despite injuries and challenges throughout his career, Hill who turns 40 today, will start his 18th season in the NBA this year. At 40 years old, he is the second oldest player in the league. While he may be wearing the Nike Hyperdunk+ while playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, #sneakerholics will also remember him for his very first signature line with Fila.

Grant Hill’s signature sneakers began in 1995 with the Fila GH, short for Grant Hill. The first model was available in a number of colorways, none more popular than the home colorway for the Detroit Pistons, which Hill won NBA Rookie of the Year honors in. Along with the great design of the Fila Grant Hill signature sneakers, the materials were often highly regarded. The most memorable being the “Filabuck” found on the black low-top Grant Hill’s below.

Another popular model from Fila’s Grant Hill line of sneakers was the second version, which featured a white tumbled leather upper. The standout point to the Fila Grant Hill II was the patent leather that wrapped almost entirely around the upper. As the most popular Grant Hill signature sneaker, the GH II returned a few years ago as a retro model named the Fila Ninety6. With that said, a big #sneakerholic happy birthday to Grant Hill today.

Do you have any Grant Hill sneakers you can add to the wiki?
