Sneaker Showcase: Air Jordan 1 “Patent Leather” Pack

Air Jordan 1 Patent Leather Pack

In 2003 Jordan Brand released a stellar collection of Air Jordan 1s to the world. This time Jordan Brand went away from their traditional all leather versions and went with something a bit flashier. All 3 pairs of these Air Jordans in this special collection were adorned with patent leather. Jordan Brand carefully executed 3 models that they knew would become classics over time.

The first pair to be released was a colorway that paid homage to Michael Jordan’s college days as a North Carolina Tar Heel. This pair is composed of mainly white and University, perfect match to the college uniform.

The second sneaker of this special pack to release was the iconic Chicago colorway. This pair featured the classic Chicago Bulls color way of white, red, and black, always a fan favorite.

The last sneaker of the patent leather pack was a colorway not seen on an Air Jordan model at the time. This pair was made up with black and gold accents.

The patent leather pack is a very sought after release for die-hard collectors and enthusiasts of Jordan Brand. Do you own a pair of these or even the whole pack?

  1. I have the Carolina and Bulls colourways – I think I have only worn them once. Time to bust them out again …
