Penny may have become one of the all-time great’s in the sneaker game but “the other” Hardaway is someone we could never forget.
Tim Hardaway may often be remembered more for his killer crossover, the “UTEP two-step,” but during his time with the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks, Hardaway wore some unforgettable sneakers. Among them, the Nike Air Go LWP, the Nike Zoom Flight, Nike Shox BB4, the infamous Air Bakin and many others. Another memorable sneaker Tim Hardaway wore was the Nike Air Afterburner Flight, which featured details that would later become a part of the Gary Payton signature sneaker line. Hardaway even landed his own signature shoe for a short time, the Nike Air Zoom T-Bug Flight in 1998, which is noticeably absent from the wiki.
Did you know that Tim Hardaway began his career wearing adidas and Converse basketball shoes? Just for his rookie season, then he quickly became a member of the Nike team. He was even featured in a handful of advertisements over the years, including the Fun Police series, and many more.
Check out some of the Nike sneakers Tim Hardaway wore throughout his career below as he celebrates his 46th birthday today.
