This weekend the Air Jordan 7 returns in one of its original builds to dealer shelves. The Jordan 7 model that is steeped in Michael Jordan history as the Air Jordan 7 helped the “G.O.A.T.” to his second straight championship title, sixth scoring title and a gold medal in Barcelona. The Air Jordan 7 set a new standard in comfort and lightened weight for the Air Jordan line with its build. Famed Nike/Jordan Brand designer Tinker Hatfield added a neoprene sockliner along with the interesting twist of design that was the inspired from West African tribal art, most apparent on the tongue and outsole.

Remade and released in 2002 with some slight changes, then released again in 2009 as part of the special DMP 60+ pack with some other differences, that won’t stop many from picking up the 2012 pair. Black/True Red, “Raptors”, “Charcoals”, whatever you want to call them, these Air Jordan 7’s are an important part of Jordan history and we can’t wait to see the newest release on the wiki.
