New Balance has always done a great job of teaming up with brands and retailers that have supported them for a long time. In the Summer of 2008, long time New Balance retailer, Germany’s Frontline shop, were given the creative freedom to design their own sneaker. The model of choice for them was the classic 576.

Frontline decided the main focus was going to be on the build and the usage of the best of materials possible. Frontline also opted on keeping the look simple, allowing the materials and colors to stand out without the need for crazy graphics or gimmicks. Buttery green suede is featured around the toebox while the backhalf of the sneaker features a soft, brown pig skin. A cream liner and tongue tag with the ‘Made in England’ tag and Union Jack flag finish off the look of the sneaker.
Only 150 units of the special sneaker were created and sold exclusively at Frontline. Luckily #sneakerholic chelicere has a pair and added the rare collaboration to the wiki.
Are you one of the lucky ones to own a pair of these?
