John Kim – Sneakernews
“There’s a lot of history tied to the High-top sneaker category particularly in the 80’s and early-mid 90’s, so before I even got a chance to look at the final Crates, I already had a pre-determined set of strict criteria. I’d search primarily for brand variety and old-school flavor, while keeping an eye out for some my own personal favorites. At least for myself, FeetHeat’s Crate was the no-brainer; almost every major brand went through a high-top renaissance phase and FeetHeat seems to have covered it all while including some of the most historic sneakers of all-time like the Air Jordan 1, Converse Back Jam, and one of quirkiest shoes ever in the adidas Mutumbo. I was also impressed by the OG Pro-Keds, a brand that is often overlooked as one of the firestarters of the ‘Uptown’ sneaker scene in NYC. FeetHeat managed to hit every bit of criteria I was looking for and then some with his High-top collection, and i’d be lying if I said I wasn’t the least bit envious”
Dylan Hughes – Vice Magazine
“This crate is deep and has a lot of extremely rare 80s and 90s basketball choices representative of those respective eras. It’s not Nike heavy as those eras were all about various brands and his selection displays that history from Jordans to Cons, Wilsons, Champions, Filas, Keds, Asics, Reeboks & adidas.
Other worthy players signature shoes are repped as Grant Hill’s, Dikembe Mutombo’s & Larry Johnson’s are included.
Darren Bent – Aston Villa & England
Who had Jay415sf as his favourite said of his crate…
“I chose this crate as my favourite Crate of the Month for a few reasons. Firstly the quality is unbelievable. As I’ve said before Jordan is a big hero of mine and I’m a huge fan of the Jordan shoes so to see such a quality collection full of pretty much all my favourite Jordans had my attention. There’s a good range from the latest releases to some nice OG numbers, all the headline colourways and models are represented. Backing up the Jordans are a nice selection of LeBrons who is my current favourite player and reinforcing the whole crate is that Jewel in any Crates crown the Air MAG! anyone who has those in their collection is clearly a truly dedicated sneakerholic so respect due!”
