“Yo, VIP, let’s kick it!”
The 1990’s were a unique time for not only sneakers but in music as well. To commemorate some of the most popular musical acts that didn’t make it into the 2000’s Nike SB released a special Fallen Heroes pack in 2007. The sneakers in the pack consisted of a Dunk for Milli Vanilli, a Classic for M.C. Hammer and the Blazer High featured here for Vanilla Ice.

Vanilla Ice, who now goes by his regular name Robert Van Winkle, was known for his extravagant outfits, his crazy hairstyle and his rapping. With hits like “Ice, Ice, Baby” and “Ninja Rap”, Ice was a popular sight in the early ’90s. As with every sneaker in the Fallen Heroes pack Nike SB kept it very simple with the Blazer. Red suede is the featured on the upper with the addition of Blue Wave featured on the Swoosh and heel in leather. Three stars were stitched onto the sneakers right above the swoosh to show this isn’t your normal Blazer. However, the feature that stands out the most are the special insoles that feature Ice’s unique hair along with SB in block letters.
