Sneaker Spotlight: Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Homers”

Homer Simpson Donut2004 was the Silver Box age for Nike SB. Lots of gems came from the folks in Beaverton, like the Bucks, Jedi’s and the Homer’s seen here. As with many of Nike SB sneakers, no one from The Swoosh will officially say that the design was based off the cartoon dad. However, the colors and look of the design takes a strong resemblance to Homer Simpon’s donut-loving, beer swigging look.

The sneakers were gaining so much attention before their release that Nike went as far as to add a special touch to the design to change the ideas of how they were designed. On the insoles the addition of a Cyclops was added, one of the featured monsters in Greek mythology featured by the poet Homer.

One of the most sought after sneakers from 2004, as of right now on the wiki we only have the specially created hybrid Dunk/Air Force 1 created for DJ Clark Kent. If you happen to have the special sneakers, adding them to the wiki archive would be great.
