Sneaker Showcase: A.R.C. x New Balance 1300 Collection

A.R.C. x New Balance 1300 Collection

In 2009 premium New York boutique A.R.C., aka Alife Rivington Club, teamed up with New Balance for the first time. This being the first collab between the two is somewhat of a surprise because A.R.C. has been a supporter and retailer for the brand for quite some time. However, the resulting sneakers were worth the wait. Set to release in conjunction with the opening of the new A.R.C. store in Manhattan, the sneakers sold through very quickly for their smooth palette and premium build.

The formula for the designs was kept simple, with Teal, Grey and White on one, while the other two versions featured the same colors but in different colorblocking. Besides the usage of soft supple suede and synthetic materials, the sneakers shared the same special Grey/Teal tongue tag. Also on the tags was the prestigious Made in U.S.A. mark, letting us know that only the most skilled hands touched the pairs. In fact the factories top group, Super Team 33, were the ones who created each pair.

Finding all pairs together is a rarity and even on the wiki we only have one version added to archive right now. If you happen to own one of the other two pairs feel free to upload it up onto the site so that there is a complete set of the first New Balance and A.R.C. collaboration on Sneakerpedia and be sure to let us know on Twitter if you do.

Which colorway is your favorite of this collaboration?
