In early 2006, Being Hunted and Solebox teamed up with New Balance for the creation of a very unique pack inspired by “The Great Outdoors.” The New Balance 575 was chosen as the creative platform of this collection, which included two colorways rumored to be limited to around 60 pairs of each of the popular runner.

The first of the two was designed by Solebox and used a military influence for its color make up. Using “Strichtarn” fabric, a camouflage used by the former East-German armed forces, a unique colorway was created by taking this original camouflage fabric from its origins in Berlin shipping it over to the NB factory to be used on the shoes. The second colorway from the pack was created by Being Hunted and used Gingham patterned material to represent the civilian side of this unique two colorway release.

6 years after its initial release, the Solebox x New Balance 575 still stands out on the Sneakerpedia wiki with its unique materials. While the Being Hunted Civilian edition of the New Balance 575 still needs to be added to the wiki. Are either of these unique New Balance 575 designs a part of your sneaker collection? If you can upload the Civilian NB 575, please let us know in the comment section or via Twitter.
