Happy Chinese New Year! It is now the year of the Dragon, the legendary and powerful creature. The Chinese zodiac has many similar features to the astrological zodiac, the main feature being both use 12 symbols/animals in its cycle. However, the Chinese zodiac differs greatly due to being based on a mathematical calendar, hence it’s the actual day that Chinese New Year takes place changes every year when translated to the modern calendar. Sneaker brands have used Chinese New Year as inspiration for special releases for many years, many of which are on the wiki.
