Alife Reebok Court Victory Pump Black/Neon

Alife and Reebok’s Court Victory Pump have had a long relationship. It all started out with the release of the original Lime colorway inspired by a tennis ball. The bright sneaker featured a fuzzy upper mimicking the looks and feel of a real tennis ball with a bright Neon Yellow base and Black lettering added. Following the success and inspiration of that sneaker were a few other colorways with very similar designs but utilizing different colors including Safety Orange and Off White. Continue reading

Sneaker Freaker x New Balance 850 "Skippy" Cover

You know a sneaker is special when it receives an official nickname. Back in December of 2009 Sneaker Freaker and New Balance introduced us to their brainchild, an 850 named Skippy. The inspiration for the colorway of the sneaker actually comes from Australia’s mascot, the Red Kangaroo, which is also how it got it’s nickname. Deciding on the 850, the Sneaker Freaker team started by stripping the original down then adding their own touches. This included memory foam-like padding around the collar and additional padding in the tongue to have it stand more upright like a kangaroo. Continue reading

Sneakerpedia Twitter Sneaker Showcase

The year’s most anticipated sneaker release has now come and gone. The Concord Jordan Retro 11 finally arrived and surprisingly, we’ve only seen a handful of them seen on the feet of sneaker enthusiasts worldwide but we anticipate there will be a lot more as the shoes are delivered.

However, there was plenty of heet to be seen this week, like the above picture of the Zoom KD IV Weatherman, that has our Sneakerpedia Twitter buzzing day in and day out. Being that the holiday season has inspired so many sneaker designs over the years, we also noticed a wide variety of holiday inspired sneakers that made it into this week’s  Sneakerpedia Twitter Sneaker Showcase.

Sneakerpedia Twitter Sneaker Showcase: Group Shots #2

One of the best things about sneakers is the people we’ve been able to meet through our love for them and from the pictures we see regularly on Twitter, we’re not alone. Sneakers have connected us with friends from all around the world. Whether it be lined up waiting for a release in person, or chatting on about them on sites like Twitter or Facebook, sneakers are our favorite subject and continue to lead us to new friends that understand what it’s like to be a #sneakerholic.

Today, we take a look at some of the group pictures from the last couple of months. We’ve seen many great pictures and this special showcases the shared passion for kicks with images of two or more sneaker lovers sharing the spotlight and creating a memory with the camera and some fresh kicks. We love seeing the shots of couples, friends, family and future sneaker enthusiasts of tomorrow already rocking heat with the help of their parents today.
