Today, Oklahoma City Thunder team captain and the NBA’s scoring leader for the past two seasons, Kevin Durant celebrates his 23 birthday. Durant is listed as 6 feet and 9inches tall, but his rumored 7 foot, 5 inch wingspan has been wreaking havoc on the League’s defenses since he was first drafted by the (at the time) Seattle Supersonics with the 2nd pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. His arrival in the league was perfectly timed for Oklahoma City fans that have quickly become one of the most dedicated fan bases in the League.
KD’s footwear since he made the jump from his one season at the University of Texas, has been one of the most successful new signature line in recent years. Durant and Nike have been able to make an excellent performing shoe for a very reasonable price. In addition to an increasing number of general release color choices, Durant’s signature line continues to add special editions as the 2-time All-Star continues to stockpile accomplishments. Scoring titles, All-Star game appearances, and we can only assume that an NBA Championship is just a matter of time for Mr. Durant, mean that the future of his signature sneakers are as bright as his future NBA career.
So far the wiki has a handful of colorways of Kevin Durant shoes, mostly of the most recent, Zoom KD III. If you want to wish Durant a happy birthday today, find him on Twitter @KDTrey5, and if you have any of his sneakers, upload them to the Sneakerpedia wiki and let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
