With one of the sweetest shots in basketball history, the NBA’s all-time leading 3-point shot maker, Ray Allen turns 36 years young today. Also known by many as Jesus Shuttlesworth for his role in Spike Lee’s He Got Game, Allen has been a key member of Team Jordan for many years.
Sporting some of the best Player Exclusive (P.E.) Air Jordans throughout the years, some of our favorites we’ve seen Ray play in include, the Air Jordan II (2), Air Jordan XI (11) and Air Jordan XX3, just to name a few. Sadly getting a hold of a pair of Jordans that Mr. Allen wore on the court proved difficult as his special P.E.’s rarely made it into the hands of the general public. But you may be happy to know that Jordan Brand has blessed us with limited quantities of the Air Jordan XIII (13) that he wore when he broke the NBA’s all-time 3-point record.
As Ray Allen celebrates his birthday today on July 20th, we take a look back at some of the stars greatest shoe moments from the big screen to his time with the Seattle SuperSonics and Boston Celtics. Be sure to give Mr. Allen a personal Happy Birthday on Twitter (@greenrayn20) and we can’t wait to see what sneakers and records the future holds for the star.
