Penny Hardaway has one of the best signature sneaker lines ever created. From the early shoes like the Air Up and the Air Flight One above (which we need uploaded to the Sneakerpedia wiki), to current models like the Air Max LeBron 7 Heroes Pack uploaded by Mayor, and the Nike 1/2 Cent, Hardaway’s influence on sneaker enthusiasts worldwide is immeasurable.
As Penny celebrates his 40th birthday today July 18th, we take a look at some of his iconic sneakers, Nike advertisements, and the commercials that helped make his signature sneaker line one of the greatest in history.
The Nike Air Max Penny 1 continues to be one of the most popular retro models every time it releases. The same can be said for the Nike Air Foamposite, which is the greatest shoe of all time for some #sneakerholics. He’s also worn a number of personalized Jordan shoes, like the Air Jordan 9.
Later this year Nike and Penny Hardaway will team up again for a new design, this one is called the Zoom Penny Rookie. It will undoubtedly become the next part of many sneakerholic’s collections. Rightfully so, because if you think about it, there isn’t another man on the planet that can say, ‘yeah, Michael Jordan wore my basketball shoes,’ and we couldn’t be more happy for Penny to celebrate another year as one of the greatest sneaker legends of all time.
