This month a familiar colorway returned to the world of skate shoes. The Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 released in a famous color combination known as the “Cali” colorway. Inspired by the California state flag, the colorway featuring brown and green details inspired by California’s state flag, originally appeared on the Nike Dunk Low Pro SB exactly 7 years ago this month (uploaded by community member airon0828). It’s hard to believe it’s been that long for most Nike SB fans, we know.
To pay homage to his Southern California roots, skateboarding superstar Paul Rodriguez decided to have Nike SB duplicate the popular colorway on his vulc-soled Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 (uploaded by community member nahood). Paul Rodriguez, better known to skateboarders and sneaker enthusiasts simply as P-Rod, is not only one of the top skaters in the world, but he’s also a long time sneaker fan.
Along with his line of signature shoes, P-Rod owns Primitive, a line of skate shops that began, of course, in his sunny Southern California homeland. However, Primitive kicked off a new chapter in their history by opening doors at a new location in Berlin, Germany, this last week. To commemorate the opening they released a special limited edition run of 24 pairs of a Primitive edition of the Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 Cali.
Which sneakerholics were lucky enough to get their hands on a pair of these extremely limited sneakers, and who will be first to upload it onto Sneakerpedia.com?
