With the NBA Playoffs seeming to have the attention of most #sneakerholics this time of year, it only seems fitting that we take a look at one of most popular signature shoes for NBA legend and current TNT commentator Mr. Charles Barkley. Sir Charles may be known more for his comedic post-game banter on TV now, but when he was lacing up one of his many signature shoes from Nike back in the day, he truly was one of the greats.

Despite the nickname, The Round Mound of Rebound, Barkley was no slouch when it came to putting points on the board. In fact, during his tenure with the Phoenix Suns, on May 4th 1994, in a playoff game against the Golden State Warriors, he put up a career best 56 points while wearing the Nike Air Max2 CB. Not only that but Barkley started off the game by hitting his first 11 shots and scoring 27 in the first quarter alone. The 56 points is tied for 3rd all-time in points scored during a playoff game.
It was performances like this that helped Charles Barkley’s signature shoes become one of the most popular amongst sneaker enthusiasts. Are these iconic sneakers a part of your collection?
