Global Sneaker Wiki Site Celebrates 2nd Anniversary

17th May 2013 – Today Sneakerpedia, the world’s greatest online sneaker archive, celebrates its 2nd anniversary. Since the site’s global launch in 2010 in NYC, Sneakerpedia members have uploaded a staggering 20,524 different sneakers to the site. As a result, Sneakerpedia continues to become the largest sneaker archive in the world.

Sneaker History: Allen Iverson win MVP Award scores 52 Points

At 6-foot tall and 165lbs, Allen Iverson did not look like the most intimidating player on the court. But winning the Rookie of the Year award and becoming the Scoring Champion quickly showed his determination and talent far exceeded his stature. In the 2000-2001 season A.I. lead his Philadelphia 76ers to an Eastern Conference leading record of 56-26, received the MVP trophy at the All-Star game and received plenty of other accolades. All this helped lead him to being the recipient of the Maurice Podoloff Trophy as the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the season, becoming the shortest and lightest MVP in league history.

Undefeated x Converse Poorman Weapon

Southern California sneaker boutique Undefeated has made a name for themselves in the #sneakerholic community for releasing some of the freshest collaborations to hit the market. For a few years now they have been collaborating with classic sneaker brand Converse on a model that many sneaker enthusiast were not very aware of its history. The Poorman Weapon is a classic basketball sneaker that Converse had not released in many years. From previous collaborations, Undefeated has been well-known to bring back classic sneaker models so they decided to add a refreshing and new twist to this gem. As one of the first extreme sports games released, the game achieved a bit of a cult following and will always have a spot in video game history.
